Rock Ridge Community Club

The Lake Activities Committee (LAC) is a group made up of Rock Ridge member volunteers. The primary goals of the LAC are to plan and run social events for members of all ages as well as coordinate and fundraise for special projects to make our lake a better place to live. A few of our annual events include Winterfest, St Patrick’s Day Family Dinner, Easter Bunny Brunch, Family Campout, Adult Beach Party, Pig Roast, Ladies Covered Dish, and Breakfast with Santa. We have many more events on the calendar. We try to plan at least one event each month.

Any Rock Ridge member is able to join the LAC. Volunteerism is what makes the LAC successful. If you have ideas for events or fundraisers, we hope that you will attend an LAC meeting to give us your input. Members are notified of LAC planning meetings, which are held quarterly, via email. Please support Rock Ridge through your participation on this committee or as a volunteer. Remember there is no small volunteer! We understand that our members are busy. If you only have an hour to give, that’s great. We appreciate any time you have to give. We look forward to working with you to make Rock Ridge a great place to live!

We are currently looking for someone to run a Rock Ridge playgroup. You would have access to the clubhouse one day a week (your choice). The members of playgroup would take turns bringing refreshments and crafts. As the organizer you would be responsible for keeping track of who brings what and when. We want our members to feel welcome and part of a community. If you know a new member, a member who recently had a baby or a member who just suffered a great loss, please contact our Rock Ridge Cares Coordinator: Deb Koppelmann, dkoppelmann@gmail.com. Let us show them that they are a part of a great neighborhood.

We are looking for someone to organize a few ladies nights at the bar. In the past ladies night was on a Tuesday night. You can get creative with this too…have fun with it! If you are interested, please contact Amy Singley, rasing@optonline.net or Andrea Callahan, angcallahan@aol.com.

Opening day at Rock Ridge Lake is a day to come out and meet your fellow members on the beach and at the clubhouse. The Rock Ridge Executive Board invites you to join them for a complimentary hamburger, cheeseburger or hot dog. It is also the opportunity to pick up your badges and sign up for hub lakes sports. You may also sign your children up for swimming lessons.

Family Fun Night
Featuring Simon Mandel, NJ’s Favorite Comedy Magician
June 11, 5:00pm, show begins at 5:45pm
Cost: $5/person, under 2 Free
Please join your neighbors at the Rock Ridge Clubhouse for the funniest and most exciting magic show you will ever see! Included with admission, each child will receive a child plate that includes one slice of pizza and a juice box or water. The bar and concession stand will be open throughout the evening as well. Beefsteak, Band & Booze (adults only)

Get your summer started off on right! Come down to the Rock Ridge Clubhouse for a fun evening filled with great food and rockin’ music. Please check your email for an evite soon.

Movie Night on the Beach
June 24, Dusk approx. 8:30pm
Cost: Free
You haven’t been to movie night until you’ve been to movie night on the beach! Get in your comfy clothes and bring your blankets and/or beach chairs for a movie night to remember. Meet on the slide side of the beach and watch a movie on our giant blow up screen. Once the movies have been chosen, they will be posted right here. The first movie will be rated PG. If a second movie is chosen, it may be rated for an older audience. The concession stand will be open.

Summerfest / Boat Regatta
July 2, 2:00pm
Cost: Free
Come put your toes in the water, your bum in the sand and an ice cold drink in your hand! Enjoy some family time on the beach with your Rock Ridge neighbors. If you really want to join in the spirit of the holiday, you can enter the Boat Regatta. There will be a prize awarded for the most creatively decorated boat. There will be an entrance fee of $5/boat. The bar and concession stand will be open. Family Campout
July 9-10, 5:00pm – 10:00am
Cost: $8 per person
Camping Rock Ridge style! Camping on the beach, camp songs, games, food (dinner and Breakfast), Smores, and fun with friends, this is what a great community is all about! Set up your tent on the beach and join the fun. This is a great way to introduce camping to your little ones too. The concession stand will be open.
